Gadgets

I made a shocking discovery the other day…I love gadgets. I know, I know, it's hard to believe, but it's true! I was sitting in my truck looking at the rear-view mirror, and I noticed it had 5 buttons on it. One looked like a power button, one was for the compass, and three of them had a symbol that looks like a house on them. It has two green lights, which I assume are some sort of power indicators. It also has the compass reading built into the mirror so that you always know which direction you are going. I pridefully observed that it is one fancy rear-view mirror. Now, the sad part of that is that I will probably never know what all of the buttons on my rear-view mirror actually do, but I am content just having the buttons. As long as the green light blinks once in a while and I can read what direction I am heading, I will be content.

I also have to admit that as I type this, I am getting a little concerned that my rear-view mirror does not display the outside temperature. Some trucks have external temperature AND the direction displayed on the mirror. Unfortunately, I think Vicki might balk at the idea of trading in this truck for one that has temperature and compass in the mirror. She has a very nasty habit of asking really dumb questions, like: “What are you going to do with that?”, or “Do you really need that?”. She doesn’t seem to get that you don’t buy stuff like a blender with a built in iPod because you need it…you buy it because it’s cool!

Hey, I just made up that iBlender idea, but my mind is racing now…iToaster, iWeedwacker, iToilet…the possibilities are endless…

You know, if you would break out the owner's manual for your truck, you could find OUT what all those buttons are for. But alas, you'll never know cause YOU'RE A MAN!
