Sausage or Bacon
When given the option, do you have bacon or sausage? I have always been a sausage man(insert bad joke here). As long as I can remember, I have preferred sausage as my breakfast meat of choice. I didn't even like bacon. Jimmy Dean sausage patties were my personal favorite. Hot or spicy doesn’t matter, it was all good. The maple flavored ones are da bomb! Sausage is yummy with any breakfast…my favorite is eating it wrapped up in a pancake. My grandma makes up extra sausage when I’m around (I’m sure she only does that for me) and then I get to snack on it all day.But times they are a changin…I am no longer a sausage man. I have become a bacon man. Up until a few months ago, I didn’t even like the stuff, but now, I can't get enough of it! I could eat it with every meal! Do they make bacon flavored ice cream?
What’s up with that? I have noticed changes like that in my taste buds before, where things taste better or worse than in the past, but nothing like this.
Have you ever had massive changes in your tastes like this? I’m beginning to wonder if I should give peas a second chance. Maybe I’m becoming menopausal.
One thing is for sure…all this talk about bacon has made me hungry. I’m going to wipe the drool off of my keyboard and fix me a midnight snack. C-ya

The very smell of salami when I was a kid was enough to send me over the edge. Now I LOVE the stuff. Same thing with sour cream, cheese, and coleslaw...Go figure!
But remember, change is good! :)
can't stand sausage...happy to have you in the land of bacon and honey :-)
i think the biggest change to my palate has been veggies. couldn't eat ANY of them as a kid and now have a half dozen or so that are really tasty to me.
BACON!!!!!!!! Oh yeah, love da' bacon, gotta have da' bacon...
That taste hasn't changed, but I'm with Jacq, veggies are a new and suprisingly tasty item. I couldn't even smell brocoli when I was a kid, now if cooked right, it is one of my favs.
I loved bacon as a kid but now I CAN'T STAND IT!! Sorry, I can't stand the smell - it takes me straight to morning sickness mode, Ladies - you know what I mean.
My tastes buds have certainly changed! I used to not like anything spicy and now It can't get hot enough for me! I put those little dried chili-peppers on EVERYTHING!
An old man goes to the doctor with an embarrasing problem.
He tells the doc, "I can't stop farting! Once every 30 seconds or so. It's a good thing they don't stink! What can I do?"
The doctor gives him some medicine and makes an appointment for a week later.
The week passes, and the old man is in the doc's office again.
He says, "What was in those pills! Not only am I still farting, but now they stink horribly!"
The doc says, "OK, now that we've taken care of the problem with your nose, we can work on your flatulence."
LOL .. That's what it's like getting older. I can't wait. :(

I prefer steak or pork chops with my breakfast, actually steak smothered in pork chops is even better.
I could eat all the veggies in the world when I was younger, now that I HAVE to eat them I don't want them.
Bacon is one of my vices. I also love sausage, but not the Jimmy Dean kind. Real, German sausages are my faves.
And, no, I've never had a reverse in my taste buds like that. Excpet when pregnant.
