Guitar Hero

Have you ever played Guitar Hero? They have it on display at Best Buy, and Jessica and I play sometimes when we go in. Some of the guys started playing at the Clontz’s yesterday, and Diane mentioned that they had the game at Costco. Of course I was going to Costco later that day for weekly groceries…so I had the perfect opportunity to get a new toy!

But on the way to Costco, I began thinking, how is it that Diane knew that this game was at Costco, and I didn’t? (She even knew the exact price). After all, I am “The Costco Kid”! People come to me to find out what time Costco opens, if certain items are carried, and even where to find things in the store?

How could someone else know more than I?
Am I losing my touch?
Could someone possess greater Costco knowledge than I?
Am I still the master? Or am I merely an apprentice, with delusions of grandeur?

This is not the first time that Diane has invaded my territory. A month ago, Dale called me to let me know that Diane spent $30,000 at Costco over the last year. That’s way more than I even think of spending, but fortunately Dale’s math was WAY off and Diane was nowhere near that total.

As a male of the species, I have this inherent need to compete. So what do I do now? Do I spend more time at Costco? Do I relinquish the title?

Ahhhhh, your blogs are always worth the wait! :)

Yeah, I would be totally feeling a bit like Diane might be encroaching into your territory. You better get right on it!
