Am I Blue?

My neice had a birthday party last weekend and my brother served cupcakes with the bluest frosting I had ever seen. This frosting was probably toxic, when you got this stuff on your lips or fingers, it was not coming off. We were scrubbing with baby wipes and finally resigned ourself to being stained. All of the blue tounges and teeth made for some funny pictures though.

I got a second dose of the blues a couple days later when my poop turned a bluish tint. (What can I say...the frosting tasted good and I ate a lot of it.) It got me reminiscing about the good old days when you had to eat crayons to brighten up the doodie.

Hasta La Vista

My daughter and a friend were debating the departure of Josiah from American Idol yesterday. Where do you fall on this debate...sad that he didn't make it, or glad to see him go.

Frustration

Has it really been OCTOBER since my last post? That's pretty lame. In all honesty, I have to say it's Vicki's fault...not sure why, but blame has to be assigned somewhere and she is the first one to pop in my head.

Frustration is the emotion of the moment for me. I had my Friday all planned out. Last meeting ends at 4pm, head home a little early, feed the horses, and then meet Vicki and Jessica in town for a nice dinner. I find out at 2pm that the 3pm meeting has been pushed to 4pm, which means I am here until 5:30pm. Horses will now have to be fed late and I won't have time to meet the ladies in town.

But what really frustrates me is that someone scheduled a meeting on Friday after 3:30pm! At my company Friday at 3:30 pm is relaxation time. It's beer and snacks in the cafeteria time! Yeah, we are still on company time and getting paid, but it's free food and beer! How are people supposed to think and be productive when they know that 2 doors down their co-workers are kicking back with Sierra Nevada and corn dogs?

Before you even ask...No, I wasn't planning on enjoying the company's Friday perk today...that's not the point. I am spoiled and entitled and feel like whining and complaining right now...that is the point.
